Benoît Cosnefroy wins Paris-Camembert after a sprint against former teammate Clément Venturini

Benoît Cosnefroy hasn't won a race in 2023. This Wednesday, he already celebrated his third victory of the new season at Paris-Camembert. The 28-year-old Frenchman thus confirms the upwards trend of the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale riders after arrival of the new title sponsor.

The hilly race which is part of the French Cup calendar came down to a sprint of small group where Cosnefroy handled the situation with elegance, beating former teammate Clément Venturini (now Arkéa - B&B Hotels) and former Cofidis rider Alexandre Delettre.

"I managed to climb into the first group with difficulty, but then I maneuvered well in the sprint to win, so I'm very happy. When you win with great feelings it's good, we go to the end of things, but when you win with average sensations like today, it's even more pleasant to have this ending," Cosnefroy shared in brief press release.
