A furious sprint gave Fabio Jakobsen his second win in the race as the race arrived at Valencia.
It was a very agressive start to the short 91-kilometer long stage which saw the likes of Remco Evenepoel and Matej Mohoric trying to escape the peloton early on, but without success. A quality breakaway went up the road nonetheless, a group of four riders with Vincenzo Nibali and Manuele Boara (Astana Qazaqstan Team), Jonathan Lastra (Caja Rural - Seguros RGA) and Gotzon Martín (Euskaltel - Euskadi). They were never allowed much of a gap understandibly as the stage would be done in a blink of an eye, they were caught with 13 kilometers to go.

Elia Viviani and Alexander Kristoff wrapped up the Top3, and with no differences being made BORA's Aleksandr Vlasov is taking home the overall win in front of Remco Evenepoel and Carlos Rodriguez.
