After the climb to the Angliru that left the overall even tighter between the Jumbo-Visma, the Vuelta a España will continue in Asturias for one more day to face the new ascent to the Cruz de Linares. The riders will face it twice in the final stretch of the stage, including a descent that can be dangerous if it rains.
The stage will have a total of 179 kilometers between Pola de Allande and the aforementioned Cruz de Linares. The riders will have to face a second-class pass (Alto de las Estacas), a first-class pass (San Lorenzo) and a third-class pass (el Tenebredo) before tackling the final double climb to the Cruz de Linares. This is a climb of 8.3 kilometers at 8.6% that has in its first part the hardest part (first 5 kilometers above 9% and ramps up to 16%).
Perico Delgado shows us the hard climb that can decide the general classification of the Vuelta a España 2023 between the 3 Jumbo-Visma Primoz Roglic, Jonas Vingegaard and Sepp Kuss in one of his 'Pericopuertos'.
