According to Groupama-FDJ sports director Benoit Vaugrenard, Valentin Madouas could be in line for a big few weeks in the Ardennes Classics with the "great results" being expected.
Fourth at Paris-Camembert, Madouas missed out on winning his weight in cheese to the eventual race winner Valentin Ferron. “It was a great race and the team worked well for me," Madouas revealed post-race. "I'm not entirely happy with the result, but it's still a good performance."
Casting an eye to future, Groupama-FDJ sports director Benoit Vaugrenard explains that big things are expected from the 26-year-old Frenchman. “Valentin has shown that he has recovered well from the Tour of Flanders and that he will be able to achieve great results in the Ardennes," he says. "That is the positive point we take away from Paris-Camembert."
"The last period I didn't feel very well," Madouas adds, perhaps trying to cool expectations. "I still missed that little bit, but it's good to find the feeling again and that promises a lot for the upcoming classics."
