TotalEnergies will be starting the
Tour de France potentially with the most modest team of all however they will be aiming as high as many others. In the past, including last year, they have succeeded in winning a stage and they start the 2025 race with the same plans.
Anthony Turgis is the team's best card to win a stage likely, taking into consideration his experience and history in the race, and coming from a Tour where he won the iconic gravel stage last year. Turgis will be one of the team's many options for the slightly hilly or flat days where a breakaway may succeed.
Thomas Gachignard,
Mattéo Vercher,
Alexandre Delettre and
Mathieu Burgaudeau are all expected to be taking part in breakaways throughout the 21 days in order to try their luck, get TV exposure and possibly spend time in the KOM jersey as well.
Steff Cras will be the team's main card in the mountains, a stage-racer by excellence, but perhaps a stage hunter this year taking into consideration he has not had the best results recently. The Belgian took his first pro win at age 29 in May and will want to add to that tally.
Jordan Jegat, 14th at the recent Criterium du Dauphiné, will also be aiming for results in the mountain stages.
