The European Championships have begun and this morning we've had all of the time-trial events except for the elite which will be taking place in the afternoon. We've seen lots of riders taking the wins in the junior and under-23 categories, and we take a look at the results of these races.

Men's under-23

In the 24-kilometer long course there was a very tight battle for the victory with the Belgians coming out on top. It was a one-two with Jonathan Vervenne taking the title and Matisse van Kerckhove finishing 2 seconds behind to take the silver medal, beating Ireland's Adam Rafferty for a third place that was also only a mere few seconds behind the victory.

Women's under-23

The most dominant win of the morning was without a doubt that of Italy's Frederica Venturelli, who dominated the under-23 women's race with a winning margin of 48 seconds over Anniina Ahtosalo and 51 over Luca Vierstraete. The margin over the first and second place was the second as in the second and 12th position, showcasing the power of the Italian youngster who was competely unmatched in Drôme-Ardèche.

Men's junior

World and European time-trial champion from now on, the Dutchman Michiel Mouris continues his tremendous 2025 season where he is one of the headliners in the junior category. It definitely wasn't an easy win, with Ireland's Conor Murphy coming a close second 5 seconds behind, but it was a victory - whilst Denmar's Julius Lovstrup Birkedal finished third.

After conquering the junior road race only a few days ago in Rwanda, Spain's Paula Ostiz continues her very successful season with a victory in the 12-kilometer long course. It was tight, but Ostiz outpaced Germany's Magdalena Leis by 2 seconds to take the win. Oda Aune Gissinger completed the podium.
