As the spring develops Jumbo-Visma have been looking flawless. Having had Wout van Aert and Primoz Roglic start their spring in the same weekend - but different countries - they have this past week connected for the first time in the year in competition at Paris-Nice, where they collectively worked perfectly to bring in the overall win aswell as several stage wins.
With Milano-Sanremo just around the corner in this coming weekend, questions have been put to both regarding the ambitions towards the first monument of the season: "I will come to the start to assist Wout. Hopefully we will cut the Poggio with good legs," said Roglic. Having finished sixth, first and third in his appearances at the Italian race, Wout van Aert is once again going to be at the start in Milano as a main favourite. Having shown his tremendous form at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Paris-Nice, it is now time for him to start the spring classics campaign where he should be targeting at least one monument win.

Roglic was asked about his compatriot Tadej Pogacar who will also be at the start of the race. Pogacar isn't the type of rider who would ordinarily thrive in such a race but after his dominant wins at the UAE Tour, Strade Bianche and Tirreno-Adriatico, there is no denying the Tour de France defending champion will come with high ambitions and with focus on the climbs.
"You never know with him. He may already start on the Cipressa," Roglic added, perhaps a scenario that would suit Jumbo-Visma as van Aert has shown to have his climbing legs dialed, whilst the likes of Caleb Ewan, Jasper Philipsen and Arnaud Démare will be hoping for a conservative race for as long as possible.
