This weekend, one day racing is back at the forefront of the World Tour as the post-Tour de France cobwebs are blown out at
Clasica San Sebastian 2025. Now confirmed to be amongst the star-studded startlist is
Primoz Roglic, leading the
Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe team.
Roglic didn't have the best Grand Tour of his career at the Tour de France, finishing 8th overall, but in the third week seemed to be growing in form, attempting a number of long-range attacks from the breakaway. The Slovenian also hasn't raced
Clasica San Sebastian since DNFing the Spanish race back in 2018. His only other attempt ended in a 21st-place position in 2017, as Roglic crossed the line 38 seconds down on eventual winner Michal Kwiatkowski.
It's also unclear as of yet what exactly this means for the likelihood of Roglic starting the Vuelta a Espana. After already having competed at the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France this year, a trip to the Vuelta wasn't expected, but given he's back racing and back in Spain, could it be a possibility?
