PREVIEW | O Gran Camiño 2025 stage 4 - Derek Gee's race to lose on queen stage

One of Spain's most recently created races, O Gran Camiño, has had very reputable winners in recent years and the 2025 throws up some surprises. The Galician race will start in Portugal, and take place from the 26th February to the 2nd of March. We preview stage 4.
The queen stage of O Gran Camiño 2025 will be the 4th day, with a tough finish in the mythical mountain pass of O Cebreiro. The day will include 3,100 meters of elevation gain, with other iconic climbs such as A Pitinidoira. 137 difficult kilometers that will continue to test the GC men and faour the climbers like no other day.

- What initially looked like a very clever move by Alex Aranburu to win the stage turned out to be a 'too good to be true' moment. To be fair to him though, the race organizers did a pretty terrible job of blocking off that side of the roundabout.

- Why just Pogacar, when he highlights the superb results of others annd compares it to 5 years ago (when carb-based feeding was treated differently, for whatever that is worth). Imagine asking Vingegaard, who recovered incredibly quickly from his awful injury. His climbing times were better than ever before. Does that mean he’s doing something nefarious? I doubt it. But I am pretty sure he had some TUEs that aided his recovery. I am okay with that, like I’m okay with using the cars to come back after a mechanical.
