Race organizers have revealed this morning the route of the 2024 edition of
Paris-Nice. It will follow a relatively traditional format but will feature an interesting GC battle that could very well open up with a team time-trial.
This will be on the third day of racing with 25 kilometers on the menu. The race will feature a few opportunities for the sprinters and classics riders - who will prepare for the racing in the spring - but will, as traditional, feature a mountainous final weekend in Nice. The race features the return to Mont Brouilly, with 3.6 kilometers at 8.8% serving as the summit finish for stage 4.
Stage 7 will feature a summit finish on Auron, unusual but following a format that is the race's regular. The summit finish will have 7.3 kilometers at 7.2%, whilst the final day will see the riders race around the explosive climbs of the area and a final ascent to the Col d'Èze before descending down into the Promenade des Anglais. Nice will also have the chance to use this as preparation for July, where they will host the finale of the Tour de France.
