"7th is a pretty respectable ride for me and top 10 in the
Tour de France GC is not too bad," the 25-year-old continues. "I'm feeling good, much better. For three days, my body has not had a good reaction to the crash. I thought it wasn't that serious, especially on San Luca, but yeah, my body reacted a bit delayed it's just been a horrible feeling. Especially on the Galibier day and the day after, so I'm just happy to be past that now."
"This was a good test and it's good to see how I can do if I go full on a
Tour de France time trial," concludes a positive Jorgenson's assessment of his performance, before turning an eye to the upcoming days. "Tomorrow should be a sprint day if I remember correctly. Then the gravel stage will be chaos. I am looking forward to the gravel and then a nice rest day before the next section of the race can start.
Finally, Jorgenson passes a comment on his team leader, Jonas Vingegaard, who finished 4th on the day and is now over a minute down on Tadej Pogacar. "To me it seemed like he did a really good ride, a really, really solid ride," Jorgenson analyses.
