Team Visma | Lease a Bike have lived up to their pre-stage expectations and stormed to an impressive team time trial win on stage 3 of Paris-Nice 2025. As a result, Matteo Jorgenson will now move into the Maillot Jaune.
The Tudor Pro Cycling Team were the first down the start ramp in Circuit Nevers Magny-Cours. At the line, Julian Alaphilippe and Michael Storer crossed the line together, setting a time to beat of 31:32. Very quickly after, Team Jayco AlUla through Michael Matthews and Ben O'Connor crossed the line, 51 seconds quicker than Tudor, moving into the hotseat. That Jayco time was looking more and more impressive as both Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team (+24) and the INEOS Grenadiers (+18) clocked slower efforts.
Movistar Team could only manage +34 on Jayco and Groupama - FDJ +40 seconds. UAE Team Emirates - XRG were next, with Joao Almeida, Brandon McNulty and Jhonatan Narvaez finishing together, 27 seconds down on Team Jayco AlUla. Mattias Skjelmose was all alone for Lidl-Trek at the line, but finishing just 15 seconds down, it wasn't a bad effort from the Dane.
Finally, Jayco's time was then broken, with Matteo Jorgenson leading Team Visma | Lease a Bike across the line 14 seconds quicker. Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe put a provisional 3rd at 24 seconds down on Visma. With none of the other teams able to threaten the time of Visma, both the stage and the new race lead was confirmed as the American, defending Paris-Nice champion moves back into the Maillot Jaune.
