General manager of Soudal - Quick-Step, Patrick Lefevere has announced in his end of year statement that the team is ready for 2023 and is "prepared to work hard and showcase the same Wolfpack mentality and winning spirit that have helped us stand out in all these years."
After a brilliant season in 2022 for Quick-Step, which included Remco Evenepoel's successes at the Vuelta a Espana and in Wollongong as he claimed the Road Race Word Championship, Fabio Jakobsen claiming the European Championship and stage victories at all three Grand Tours. "After what has been a fantastic and memorable year, which will be very difficult to repeat," Lefevere says. "To win Classics, Grand Tour stages, a Grand Tour and the World Championships in a time span of more or less half a year is remarkable, and we can all be proud."
Looking forward to the upcoming 2023 campaign and the first and most notable difference is the name change. The Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team is no longer and will now be known as Soudal-Quick-Step. "We have a new title sponsor in Soudal, who have joined our other long-standing partners with the goal of helping the squad remain at the top of its game and among the best in the world," Lefevere announces.
