"It's all going in the right direction" - Primoz Roglic on Jumbo-Visma dominance at Dauphiné

Primoz Roglic had a complicated spring after getting a knee injury at Itzulia Basque Country, which saw him out of the Ardennes Classics. The Critérium du Dauphiné was a return test for Roglic, who passed with the best grade possible.

“This is certainly very beautiful. Finally I win a race in France! That is very beautiful. Not only Jonas [Vingegaard] was very strong, as a team we were in control of the race from the start," Roglic said in a post-race interview. Having done a very strong time-trial and performed at his best level in the mountains, the 32-year old rode into the overall win with relative ease, with no challenge coming from his rivals.

Second place in the GC was Jonas Vingegaard who won the stage today, as the duo rode away from the rest of the pack at the Plateau de Solaison for a dominant win. Roglic detailed the day: “It was a difficult opening phase, but so we were in control and the guys drove really great."

Jonas was really strong on the final climb. It's crazy, isn't it. It's a great day for the team. It's all going in the right direction," Roglic confidently concluded.

"We can go to the Tour with confidence, but there is still some time and work to do," Roglic concluded. Overconfidence certainly doesn't run through the Slovenian's head, however Jumbo-Visma have given the best possible response this week to a battle they are to have against Tadej Pogacar this summer.
