A winner of the under-23 Liège-Bastogne-Liège last year, Hayter impressed the most this year at the under-23 Giro d'Italia where he won the overall classification with a set of dominant rides in the mountains. His transfer follows the team's tradition of putting emphasis on the mountains, however he is most likely set to be a rider capable of succeeding in multiple terrains.
“I’m super proud and excited to be joining the
INEOS Grenadiers this coming year, moving up to the highest level of the sport in a British team I’ve been inspired by since I started competing," Hayter said in a press release. "Having participated in some training camps with the team, I already feel really at home here, and now can’t wait to get started.”
