Supporting him will be Nairo Quintana, who has been having to battle injuries and illnesses all season long - including recently at the Vuelta a Burgos, the crash on stage 2 wrecked his chances of putting on a strong performance. He still finished the race and will look to put on a ride such as the one that almost saw him win at the Giro earlier this year. At the Giro Einer Rubio put on a very consistent and strong performance that saw him finish seventh in the overall classification, he could come as a luxury domestique or second GC card for the team.
Oier Lazkano will have free role to hunt stage wins and there will be tons of opportunities for the rider who can climb, ride the classics and on flat roads as well as most in the peloton.
Carlos Canal should have a similar role but look for results in the sprints that can take place on the hilly days. Completing the lineup are experienced rouleurs
Nelson Oliveira and
Jorge Arcas who, combined, already have 13 Vueltas under their belt.
