Chris Froome's fighting spirit continues in Tour du Rwanda - "Continue to fight every day to get the best possible result"

Currently competing in the Tour du Rwanda for Israel - Premier Tech, Chris Froome finished the third stage in 22nd place, 34 seconds behind the stage winner, Henok Mulubrhan.

Froome's continued presence in the tour has contributed to its overall appeal, as he remains a prominent figure in the competition. In addition, his impressive track record and status as one of the frontrunners for the GC within the peloton have solidified his standing as a crowd favourite. "It was a really, really tough stage, a great day of racing," Froome said after the third stage.

He shared his account of what happened during the third stage and how it played out for him. “It was a really intense 200 kilometres, I was on the limit at the end and just tried to get to the finish line as fast as I could. All of my teammates did a great job again today, they are so strong since the start of this Tour of Rwanda.”

After a moderate start, he has been making steady progress in the standings. Moreover, he wishes to utilise this event to mentor his junior teammates and facilitate their development. “So far, everything is going pretty well, we will do everything to continue on this path, and we want to continue to fight every day to get the best possible result,” concluded Froome. Starting stage 4, the Briton is 21st in the overall classification.
