Eli Iserbyt began the season on a high note, encountered a lull in performance, but eventually regained his stride and gained the momentum. He recently celebrated the overall victory in
X2O Badkamers Trofee.
“The season is really long and I long for peace. But physically it's going great again and I'm happy with that,” said Iserbyt to Lndeleiderstrui after X2O Trofee Brussels. He continued, “And I am very proud to deliver such an achievement as today. That is certainly not easy, after Saturday's tough game. As a professional I had not yet won this competition, so I was extra keen on it.”

He had been experiencing challenges with his back which derailed his performance. “Things are getting better and better now. On the bike it is now 99% good. If I still suffer, it is mainly in everyday life. For example, if I sit in the car or seat for a long time. I'm glad things are improving on the bike. Now it's time to rest well and rebuild in the summer without any problems.”
Unlike the previous season, Iserbyt has decided to prioritize his body and take a rest period instead of immediately transitioning to mountain biking. “I had also ridden more than forty crosses. That was just too much. When things are going well, it's easy to do too much. I have now realized that. It was a wake-up call to listen more and more to the body,” concluded Iserbyt.
