The competition will start on Thursday, January 25 with the time trials. The starting point will be the Parque Artesanal de Nobsa, and the cyclists will have to face a challenging route that includes the Y and return by the contra road, ending at the parking lot of the Universidad de Boyacá. The elite and U-23 women will ride 28.3 kilometres, while the elite and U-23 men will face 35.2 kilometres in this time trial.
On Friday 26, the focus will be on the women's cross-country race. The elite and U-23 cyclists will face a circuit of 18.1 kilometres in Tunja, completing six laps for a total of 108.6 kilometres. Saturday 27 will be the turn of the U-23 race, which will share the same circuit as the women's competition. Starting and finishing at the Plaza de Bolivar in Tunja, participants will ride eight laps, totalling 144.8 kilometres.
The culmination of the event will be on Sunday, January 28 with the expected race of the elite professionals. The competition will take place in a demanding route that will start in the municipality of Corrales and will pass through Vadocastro, Sogamoso, Duitama, Paipa, Tunja and Chivata, covering a total of 211 kilometres. The circuit in Tunja will have six laps before heading to the municipality of Chivata, where the exciting race will conclude.
The event will officially open on Wednesday, January 24 with the presentation of licenses, confirmation of riders and the technical meeting. This previous event will be held at the Panorama Comfaboy Hotel in Paipa, starting at 9:00 am.
