Having had a rider placed in the top-10 on no fewer than nine different stages, Uno-X came close, but couldn't quite manage to claim a stage win. Having added one of the peloton's premier stage hunters in
Magnus Cort Nielsen among others, the team are now even better placed to compete for victories at the 2024 edition of the race believes Magelssen.
"That's almost what they brought him in for, in addition to the fact that he has a Danish passport and is a great cyclist. He can do exactly what he wants in July, pick stages and is guaranteed to break," Magelssen says of the 31-year-old, seven-time Grand Tour stage winner. "They were not that far away from a stage win last year. There is a lot to be said for the stages, and all the best in the world will win. Maybe they are a little closer this year and the margins are on your side sometime in the 21 days. A stage win is absolutely possible."
