In some brilliant news for cycling fans, ASO have reached a new TV deal with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), ensuring many of the sport's biggest races remain free to air across the majority of Europe up until 2030.
As revealed in an announcement online, the list of races included in the package include the likes of the Tour de France, La Vuelta a Espana, Paris-Roubaix, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, La Flèche Wallonne, Paris-Nice, Criterium du Dauphiné, Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, La Vuelta Femenina by Carrefour.es, Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift, Liège-Bastogne-Liège Femmes and La Flèche Wallonne Femmes. "Whole or part of the package of races will be broadcast free-to-air by EBU Members in the following territories: Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland. Eurosport/Warner Bros Discovery will also continue, thanks to a sub-license from the EBU, to broadcast the Tour de France, La Vuelta and the other 16 races in the package throughout Europe," the press release confirms.
