Behind, Joao Almeida kept 4th place, already more than 8 minutes behind Evenepoel, followed by the Spanish duo of
Mikel Landa, 5th, less than 30 seconds behind the Portuguese, and
Carlos Rodriguez who was once again dropped a little earlier than his rivals. The INEOS Grenadiers leader finished almost two minutes behind Landa, and is far behind in the standings despite maintaining 6th place.
Rounding out the Top 10 are
Adam Yates, who maintains 7th position,
Derek Gee, up one place and now 8th,
Matteo Jorgenson in 9th position having moved up 5 places due to his finish from the breakaway, 2nd behind Pogacar, and
Giulio Ciccone is 10th having lost two positions after being left relatively early on Isola 2000.
