- Sometimes i dont know why these statements are made. If pogi is winning these monuments at 3+ a year why should he stop, he will cross Merckx. If he does not take them MVDP or Remco will win them continuously. Its just different wine in the same bottle.
Also MVDP is no poker face, he pulls faces as soon as he is in trouble.
- the commentator start off with a comment of wout being the strongest and then shifts to the real race being between tadej and mathieu.
I think sunday will be the best test of Tadej’s dominance. MVDP will be stronger than Flanders Field and E3. Wout is coming into form. Remco, Mads, and others. If Tadej wins RVV, wow.
- True this
- great point on the chase. is their newfound aggression in tracking down attacks a response to MVDP, Tadej, Wout’s repeated long distance raids? They are no longer surprised by them it seems. can Tadej win in a long distance attack or will the peloton be wiser moving forward? It seems Wout can’t, Mathieu barely can. Tadej did in san remo.
- A guy who won a monument, a grand tour, and the world championship in the same year has the right to consider possibilities that might seem absurd. I don’t think he will succeed, but he might want to try, anyway.
- Mostly I agree, but what if he finds it fun to compete against Seixas and all the rest? He genuinely seems to. So far, every challenger who has arrived has made him better. It will be a few more years, I think, before his body can no longer do what it once did. I suspect he might keep cycling after that, if it remains fun.
- Great to see a win my Marlen just to build some suspense into the coming races.
- If Pogacar goes for GT triple next year, suddenly Jonas will start racing one day races "just because"
- yes he has really evolved. this was impressive. not just the motor but the burst of speed.
- "If he wins all five, he should stop right away and go on holiday so the others can exist. ..."
What an idiotic take
