Rohan Dennis withdraws from Birmingham Commonwealth Games due to medical reasons

Rohan Dennis will be absent from today’s road race at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. He was not feeling well this morning and taken to a hospital for tests and observations.

The Australian Commonwealth Games team officially announced the news on their official website. “Rohan Dennis will take no further part in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games following medical advice,” read the statement by the team.

The team did not reveal any particular medical problem. “Dennis woke up on Saturday morning in discomfort and was taken to a local hospital to undergo tests and observations,” read the statement by the team.

His withdrawal is a huge setback for the Australian team as he was in good form and even took gold in the Men’s Individual Time Trial on Thursday. The team will enter the race with Luke Durbridge, Luke Plapp, Miles Scotson, and Sam Fox.
