Aleksandr Vlasov is sitting in second place in the overall but is hesitant to say he's the favourite to put on the yellow jersey tonight.
At the start of today's stage, Vlasov has told CyclingPro: "Of course I will try, the climb is very steep and also there is a gravel section. It will be a very interesting stage, the climb is the key."
Today is the queen stage of the race which will see the riders go up the Alto de Antenas de Maigmó Tibi, a 5.5 kilometer long climb at 10.2% average gradient, which features a 1.8 kilometer long gravel section.
Maybe [the gravel section] will give him [Remco Evenepoel] a little chance to win today. He's in good shape, it will be dificult to beat him."
