Einer Rubio won yesterday in Crans-Montana the first great victory of his short and exciting career. The Movistar Team rider withstood throughout the climb the continuous attacks of Thibaut Pinot and Jefferson Cepeda and ended up bursting them in the last meters.
With this victory Rubio became the 17th Colombian to raise his arms in the Giro d'Italia and, not surprisingly, the Colombian press went absolutely crazy with the young climber's triumph.
