Uno-X Pro Cycling Team have lost their two main riders Tobias Johannessen and Rasmus Tiller today at the
Tour de Pologne, however the outcome was nevertheless brilliant as another of it's rising stars
Jonas Abrahamsen has taken the lead of the race.
Abrahamsen, 26 years of age, got himself in the breakaway of the day on stage one and took six seconds of bonifications, putting him in third place in the GC. Today, with another flat day and several intermediate sprints on course, the Norwegian once again went up the road and captured another six seconds, making him the new leader of the race as Olav Kooij missed out on the bonus seconds.
A fruit of his persistence, the yellow jersey will tomorrow be on the shoulders of Abrahamsen. The team has lost it's GC ambitions, however will get to ride in the front of the peloton and the cameras will be on it, for a result that has made up for the bad news at the start of the day.
Tomorrow's stage three into Przemysl will see the first battle for the overall classification go down on the steep final ramps of the eastern Polish town, and define the main riders to look at that will be fighting for the lead throughout the week.
