This week's
UCI rankings show us
UAE Team Emirates continuing to soar up the rankings in complete isolation. After Tadej Pogacar won Liège-Bastogne-Liège, and among others António Morgado taking his first pro win, the UAE team continues in an unrivalled position.
With the cobbled classics over, the Ardennes came along, and Mathieu van der Poel's third spot at Liège-Bastogne-Liège propelled
Alpecin-Deceuninck into second place with 6945 points. They are now ahead of
Lidl-Trek who have 6837, but are now closely chased by
Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale team who continue to have a brilliant year. Ben O'Connor, Valentin and Aurélien Paret-Peintre scored high at the Tour of the Alps whilst Benoît Cosnefroy and Aurélien Paret-Peintre finished in the Top5 of Flèche Wallone and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
Team Visma continue to have a difficult spring, they could not score enough to keep their fourth place and are now fifth in the team's rankings this season. These four teams are the only ones who have over half the points of UAE. Both Lotto Dstny and Israel - Premier Tech continue to climb up the ranks as well as the best ProTeams now in 9th and 12th positions following mostly Maxim van Gils and Stephen Williams' performance in the Ardennes.
