Stability in the life of pro cyclists is often key, and in Tadej Pogacar's case, it is in his partner Urska Zigart that he finds a lot of it. The World Champion praised her in a recent interview, admitting that it would be hard to achieve the same success otherwise.
In words to Sky Sport, the Slovenian was asked about his partner: "Without her, I think it would have been more difficult to achieve my successes. I can only say a huge thank you for your mutual support at every step of our careers and our lives. Simply amazing."
Amongst other topics such as the 2025 season, the brutal Tour de France and more, he discussed also the projects that he has outside of his own pro career. The Pogi Team, a Slovenian development project for example, which is helping smaller riders come through the ranks of the small European nation. Among the many Slovenians in the 28-rider team (2025 numbers), in the past was also a certain Jan Christen, who has in recent years developed his way into the pro team where he is currently one of the brightest growing talents.
"We started the Pogi Team and the Pogacar Foundation quite early, still in the middle of my career, so I don't have much time to work with the other people involved and the children. Both initiatives have started well, and I'll be happy to dedicate more time to them when I retire," he added.
At the end of the day, the superstar continues to enjoy success and popularity all around the world, perhaps being the current peloton's most recognizable figure. "It's wonderful to have so many fans who know my name and cheer me on in various parts of the world, including countries with great cycling traditions like France, Italy, and Spain, or in places like Colombia where there's a fantastic warmth."
