Simon Carr won the queen stage of the Tour de Langkawi in an
EF Education-EasyPost exhibition. The American team dominated the final climb to Genting Highlands with the Briton riding solo and Ecuadorian Jefferson Cepeda coming in second.
Pablo Castrillo, from Kern Pharma, tried his best, but was unable to beat the two WorldTour riders and came in third place ahead of Euskaltel Euskadi's Joan Bou.
Thus, in the overall, Carr leads his teammate Cepeda by 49 seconds, Castrillo by 58 and Bou by one minute and seven seconds. The British rider, who proved in the big mountain stage that he is the strongest rider of the Tour de Langkawi, has it in his hand.
