New Zealander George Jackson won the third stage of the Tour de Langkawi. Carlos Canal, sprinter of Euskaltel-Euskadi, got into the final sprint, but could not get past the third place after being overtaken by the Bolton Equities Black Spoke rider and the Italian Enric Zanoncello.
The stage took place between Jeli and Baling over a total of 183 kilometers and took place without too many surprises. Jackson showed his power to end up winning with sufficiency, whilst many of the pure sprinters were dropped in the day's long ascents. The other Spaniard in the top ten was Gorka Sorarráin (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA).
