Rigoberto Urán positive despite streak of big crashes: "I will get back on the bike and keep pushing"

Rigoberto Urán crashed out of Liège-Bastogne-Liège, of which he had harsh criticism over behaviour in the peloton. On his return to competition just days after in the Tour de Romandie, he crashed and had to abandon once again; a harsh way to complete his spring campaign.

After his crash on stage one of the Swiss race, which involved the likes of at-the-time race leader Ethan Hayter and Ion Izagirre, he's shared: "I have two news: one good and one bad. The bad one is that I've got a fractured scapula. The good one is that it won't require surgery, there was no displacement."

"It will heal on it's own, what a wild streak I've had this year," he pointed out. "We have to go forward, it's going to heal fast, I will get back on the bike and keep pushing."

This set of crashes dictated for an end of his racing schedule in the meantime, with the Colombian climber set to target the Tour de France later this summer. He didn't take to the start of stage two, where EF Education - EasyPost have Neilson Powless in contention for the overall classification.
