Matej Mohoric stormed to the win at this year's
Milano-Sanremo with a
daredevil attack on the final descent. The Slovenian has grabbed what is the biggest win of his career so far, and has taken the biggest
prize money of the race for Bahrain - Victorious.
Not only him in fact, but despite being under the radar, teammate and compatriot Jan Tratnik finished in the Top10 and brought the team's prize money up to €21.500 out of €39.500 available. Being a one-day race the prizes were distributed taking into consideration as the most important factor the first placed riders in the race.
With that, TotalEnergies took the €10.000 with Anthony Turgis' second place in the race whilst Mathieu van der Poel brought €5.000 for his third place at Via Roma for Alpecin-Fenix. Several teams failed to reach the positions needed to bring in any prize money.
