The Tour of Guangxi is the final World Tour event of the year and it closes out the calendar in Asia. China hosts the six-day race where there are still lots of UCI points to attribute and some meaningful victories too. Stage 4 will take place on the 17th of October.
Stage 4 is a hilly day, one where a sprint is likely however where action can be expected. With a few climbs spread throughout the day it's the only stage where a breakaway can realistically succeed, with the toughest in the first kilometers where a strong group can go up the road.
The climb that ends with 35 kilometers to go is 3.8 kilometers long at 6.3% which can also be used to drop some sprinters, whilst there is an uphill bonified sprint with 11.5Km to go, at 7% where the GC men are certain to go for time bonuses and potentially continue on with splits that will likely appear in the peloton.
This is going to be a little harder stage and because the final hilltop comes with bonus seconds attached then it is certain that the GC men will go for it, and with very explosive puncheurs such as Jan Christen, Jhonatan Narváez and Mikkel Honoré present then we will have action and splits there. And certainly, we will have some men trying to continue the attack, or launch new ones right after the summit which can take advantage of a disorganized peloton. Unfortunately for them, Paul Magnier is certain to handle this type of climb better than any sprinter in this race, but the Frenchman may also have allies in Max Kanter's Astana and Picnic PostNL's Pavel Bittner who are strong in these hills and will want a more reduced and different bunch sprint.

Stage 4: Bama - Jnichengjiang
