Peter Sagan set for final Tour de France as TotalEnergies confirm 8-man team for 2023 edition of the race

TotalEnergies are the latest team to unveil their lineup for the 2023 Tour de France and a rider synonymous with the modern era of the race, Peter Sagan, is set for his final battle for the Green Jersey.

A record seven-time points classification winner, Sagan has a total of twelve Tour de France stage wins on his palmares. Not since 2019 however, has the Slovakian raised his arms in celebration at the biggest race on the cycling calendar. Nevertheless, Sagan recently declared that his intends to finish his Tour de France career on a high.

The likes of Daniel Oss, Anthony Turgis and Edvald Boasson-Hagen will provide the sprint train for the 33-year-old. Elsewhere, Pierre Latour will hold hopes of a breakaway stage win or if his legs are really good, a potential top 10 GC finish wouldn't be out of the question. Mathieu Burgaudeau, Steff Cras and Valentin Ferron complete the team.
