Ronnie O'Sullivan and
Chris Froome are two of the most successful sportsman ever in their respective fields. Courtesy of Eurosport, the duo have now starred in a crossover with O'Sullivan describing the
Israel - Premier Tech rider as “one of the all-time greats."
With seven snooker World Championship wins and seven Grand Tour victories between them, O'Sullivan and Froome are both incredibly successful. In the new Eurosport series 'Voice Notes', a Marvel Cinematic Universe-style crossover takes place with Froome asking the snooker great "I’ve always wondered watching snooker players… what kind of training do you need to get to the top of your game? I know there’s obviously the mental side, the mental preparation, but what kind of physical training is generally involved?”
“Really, you don’t need a lot of physical attributes to play snooker,” O'Sullivan replies after describing Froome as “one of the all-time greats in my book.” The 47-year-old then continues “but I think it would be advisable just to clear your head – and the equivalent of a 20-minute run every day would be ideal. It’s long enough to get a bit of a sweat on, but short enough to not overdo it or leave yourself knackered for when you have to play snooker."
“Snooker is a bit of a mental sport so the more you can clear the mind, the better it is to go back to snooker to play again,” O'Sullivan concludes.
