Breakaway, sprints and general classification - the team's scope for 2026 Tour is enormous, but they have the right men for the job ahead of them.
King Tobias
The eight-man lineup is centered around Uno-X's best climber Tobias Halland Johannessen, last year's sixth place overall, whom the team believes to have the ability to reach even higher this July.
Johannessen has demonstrated a great shape thus far in 2026. The 26-year-old kicked off his year with a ninth place at UAE Tour, then finished fourth at Tirreno-Adriatico and podiumed the Milano-Torino and Itzulia Basque Country.

And one week ago, Johannessen climbed with the best at Tour Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes to claim three individual podium results, and a fifth place overall. If not for a three-minute time loss in opening stage, the Norwegian could've competed with Isaac del Toro or Paul Seixas for the overall title. Of course, the Scandinavian team is not setting out unrealistic goals for itself such as competing with Tadej Pogacar or Jonas Vingegaard, but a strong GC performance is nevertheless a minimum of what's expected:
"The goal is to do what we did in 2025 once again. And that might be even harder this year than last year, because now we have said it out loud. A top 5 overall with Tobias is the objective, and it is the team’s big goal," outlines sports director Gabriel Rasch in a
press release. "Last year, we came in as underdogs and had the GC goal in the back of our minds. This year, there is more pressure on it from the start, and more expectations."
Johannessen's mountain support will consist of Anthon Charmig, Andreas Kron and mainly Torstein Traeen, last year's ninth overall at Vuelta a Espana after a red jersey stint in week 1.
Sprint stages will be in charge of Soren Waerenskjold with the help of Anders Skaarseth, Jonas Abrahamsen and Magnus Cort.
Cort and Abrahamsen are also the team's wild cards for transition days where they can link up with riders from 'climbing team' Kron and Charmig to shake things up in breakaways. Both men know well how to deliver a miracle at the Tour. But they're sure to have a little less freedom than in the past with Johannessen's GC goal in mind.
"We will probably be a bit more conservative and a bit more boring because of the GC, but we will continue to go in breakaways and race offensively when we think it makes sense. We are not a team that says we have to be in the breakaway just for fun. We go when we believe in it," Rasch describes the pre-race strategy.
"We have put a bit more emphasis on selecting a strong climbing team, with more riders around Tobias. We have been a bit weak there before, with Tobias being alone when there are still around 30 riders left."
