Team Jayco AlUla have landed a major sprinting coup ahead of the 2026 season, securing the signature of German fast-man
Pascal Ackermann on a two-year deal. The 31-year-old will lead the Australian squad’s sprint programme through 2026 and 2027, bringing a formidable palmares and a wealth of experience to GreenEDGE Cycling.
A proven finisher with 45 career UCI victories, Ackermann has stood on the top step of Grand Tour podiums on five occasions and is a former German national champion. His biggest results include three Giro d’Italia stage successes and two Vuelta a Espana wins, alongside triumphs at Clasica de Almeria, Classique Dunkerque and stages at both the Dauphine and Tirreno-Adriatico.
He will slot into a sprint unit that already features compatriot Jasha Sutterlin and trusted lead-out figure Luka Mezgec, giving Jayco AlUla a refreshed and battle-hardened fast-finish arsenal.
“Team Jayco AlUla is a team with a great history, and one that I was already looking up to when I was younger. It has always been a dream to join the team, so I am excited for this opportunity! For me, it’s definitely the best team to continue to chase my dream of winning races! Let’s get into 2026 and get back to the top.”

General Manager Brent Copeland believes Ackermann’s profile and pedigree make him an ideal fit for the squad’s ambitions in bunch finishes.
“We are delighted to welcome Pascal to the squad and believe that he will fit in very well with the team’s well-established leadout train. He has shown over his career that he can win at the highest level, which is demonstrated by his multiple Grand Tour stage victories. We are looking forward to working with him next season and seeing what he can achieve under the guidance of the team’s coaches and sport directors.”
Ackermann arrives as a seasoned campaigner with nine years at the top level, and Team Jayco AlUla will hope the move ignites another wave of success from one of the peloton’s most decorated sprinters. With clear motivation and a dedicated sprint structure waiting for him, the German’s objective is simple: win — and win often — in Jayco AlUla colours.
