Matej Mohoric is coming as an important piece for the multi-pronged
Bahrain - Victorious lineup for today's Liège-Bastogne-Liège. After a win at Flèche Wallone, Dylan Teuns is coming as perhaps the team leader, but with several cards to play in the climbs of the Belgian Ardennes.
"I hope good [feelings], I will see how my climbing legs are today, but we are definitely motivated as a team, we have a strong team everybody's healthy and fit so we will do our best to try and win this race," he told CyclingPro at the start. Alongside the likes of Mikel Landa, Damiano Caruso, Jack Haig and Wout Poels, the Slovenian is likely to have an aggressive role in order to put other teams under pressure, and take advantage of their numerical advantage.
He pointed out that "we need to be honest with each other, we will speak, of course not all of us can win we will need to decide in the final who we will ride for. Of course Dylan is probably the rider who is in the best shape at the moment, he won Flèche Wallone on Wednesday so he will go well today for sure."
"We still have some others who are going well today, so we will try to make sure we have a good goal... I think we need to see how strong the other teams that want to control the final and how strong the leaders are and then we'll decide," Mohoric concluded, leaving it open on whether Bahrain will race aggressively or not.
