Marco Brenner will compete for Tudor Pro Cycling next season. On January 1, the Swiss team presented the 21-year-old German, who has signed a contract until the end of 2026. Brenner himself said goodbye to his now former employer Team dsm-firmenich on Instagram.
"I had some great years with the team," begun Brenner, who turned professional in 2021 with Iwan Spekenbrink's team. He then signed a three-season contract with the option for a fourth.
Although Team dsm-firmenich decided against that option, Brenner looks back on his time with the team with a good feeling. "I feel like I have made big steps in my development here. It was a good environment to work. I wish my teammates and staff all the best."
Brenner, who came to the pros as an 18-year-old with the necessary credentials, has not yet been able to capitalize on his status as a top talent among professional cyclists. Since his professional debut in 2021, two fifth places in stages of La Vuelta and Tour de Pologne are his best results in the WorldTour. This year, a sixth place in the road race of the German championship was his best result.
