Jai Hindley looked in good form at the Tour Down Under, but has since been riding at a modest level. With a suiting route - the final of the spring - the
BORA - hansgrohe leader will look to seize the
Volta a Catalunya.
The Australian is planned to ride Itzulia Basque Country and the Ardennes classics. However, a pure climber, Hindley thrives on the long and uphill efforts. He will find plenty of them this week in Catalunya, where there will be three summit finishes, all of them high mountain stages. The overall classification will be his to play for, following results outside the Top10 at the Volta ao Algarve and Tirreno-Adriatico.
He will be the sole leader of the German team, however he will both have strong support, as several stage hunters within the team.
Matteo Fabbro,
Patrick Konrad,
Anton Palzer,
Ide Schelling,
Cian Uijtdebroeks and
Frederik Wandahl complete the lineup of the German team in search of success.
