- He had a go at Remco too though. This is really just a retired has-been mouthing off to get attention. Also, it's completely unnecessary to compare riders from different eras, because it is literally impossible to compare - it would only be fair if GOAT riders could race each other at the peak of their powers, which is obviously impossible.
- It's lovely how belgians stress so much about loosing their status on cycling.
- He's a bit fed up with the estrogen laden snow flakes in "men's" cycling.
- Primoz didn't want to be speered from a Palestinian flag pole.
- One thing that is very unfair to Pog is that he is being criticized for comparisons to eddie merckx when he in fact himself has steadily paid homage to Merckx as the greatest and dismissed the idea of comparison entirely and humbly. Say whatever you want to but Pog is still a great champion and has done nothing to deserve criticism in this particular way.
- Ouch !! but good on him for voicing his opinion others are suss of some modern riders
- Just because they're not interested in catching top riders anymore doesn't mean there ANY chance Pogi and all the rest are clean.
- There is no need to call anyone dummy, so calm down. I’m paraphrasing what del Toro himself said that day, so chill out and stop being rude.
- He tested positive at least FOUR times... He got kicked out of a Giro d'Italia (which leading for 16 stages in '69), after winning Lombardia in '73, at Fleche Wallone in '75, then in '77 for amphetamines... not at a specific race to my knowledge.
Merckx had four positives tests over 8 years, in a time when testing was in its infancy. He had excuses, reasons, stories, etc. If this happend today, he'd be banned for life. Yes, Vlaeminck is a son of a b*i*t*c*h !!!
- what a looser. seems like his self confidence is down the drain. obviously, he never had anything else but his cycling past to be proud of. by the way ... pogi does not lace any shoes, they have boa these days...
