At the moment, there are 16 riders with terminating contracts in Israel - Premier Tech. With Chris Froome and Jakob Fuglsang likely retiring at the end of the season, the situation around contracts gives team management the freedom to adapt the 2026 roster accordingly as the team seems almost certain to return to WorldTour given their comfortable position in UCI ranking.
In addition, they can count on a strong development team with several promising rider close to being to ready to take the step up to the main team next year, such as the Portuguese Daniel Lima, Belgian Floris Van Tricht and Spaniard Pau Martí.
"We have been working on strengthening the core of the team for some time now and that has translated into more depth. As a result, we can now perform at a higher level in different types of races. That is what we have seen in 2024. We have 29 wins and eight or more came from WorldTour racing," team manager Kjell Carlstrom told cycling journalist Daniel Benson.
Nevertheless, the most important team leaders such as Derek Gee, Stevie Williams or Corbin Strong are already secured for seaons to come and thus there's no hurry to refill. "The first part of the season will show us more about the direction we need to take, but we don't have to worry about immediate choices now. We have already brought in some experienced riders and there is a strong core to build on," said the Finn.
If there is anything missing in the equation of IPT for 2026, it's an absolute-top leader, ideally for GC. "It can be difficult to attract riders who are already in the top 30 of the UCI rankings, especially if they have other choices in the WorldTour. But we see that Corbin Strong, Stevie Williams and Derek Gee have developed well in recent years. There are certainly opportunities for our riders to push through to the top," he is confident.
