This even led to Pogacar himself recently addressing the rumours. “She's going to the same team as Remco, huh! Will she tell him my secrets?" Pogacar questioned with a laugh to Sporza. "I don't think they'll ride together often. Urska would leave Remco behind too soon."
Now, Zigart herself has spoken out on the topic of her transfer and the potential inside information she could give Evenepoel in the fight for the 2025
Tour de France. "No, I won't do that. I do like competition,"
the 28-year-old tells Sporza firmly. "Conversely, I was asked if he rides
Paris-Roubaix, but I'm not going to reveal that either."
Having made the move to switch teams though, Zigart is now intent on forging her own reputation in the peloton and to follow in the footsteps of her superstar partner. "I felt it was time to explore new horizons. From the first conversation with Jolien D'hoore I had a good feeling about the team. It really feels like a family of wolves," she explains. "Everyone here believes in me and wants to help me. They encourage me very hard. If I had half the confidence in myself that they have in me, I would already come very far."
"I just want to improve in all areas. It's about time I get more self-confidence on my bike and go for the wins. I want to raise my hands as much as possible when I cross the finish line," she adds. "I work just as hard as he does. So I put more pressure on myself to follow his example. But because of that, there is also more attention for me. I feel like I have to prove myself more."
