Mads Pedersen to a strong result on the second day of racing at the
Vuelta a Espana, as the Dane is aiming high at this Vuelta a Espana.
“He did very well. I was kept out of trouble and I was dropped off just fine. I was able to enter at the right time," Pedersen said regarding the leadout of Alex Kirsch and his positioning into the final sprint. "This gives hope for the rest of the Vuelta". Pedersen rode into second place on the day, only behind Sam Bennett, as he got close to an important win.
“After the Tour it's always nice to be able to race again. The legs are good, so I definitely want to win a stage. Tomorrow is already a good chance," Pedersen hinted. "Bring on those three weeks!
Pedersen won the intermediate sprint on the day, and with a second place on the day he's placed close to the lead in the points classification. Pedersen revealed that "I want to take that home too".
