With Vingegaard currently leading the epic Tour de France dual he's in with
Tadej Pogacar by two victories to the Slovenian's one in the Tours they've competed against each other, Drivenes thinks overall, this year's profile could help Vingegaard despite the stage 9 concerns and the added rival in former teammate,
Primoz Roglic.
"The course suits Jonas Vingegaard perfectly - in fact even better than this year's, which he won by a landslide," says Drivenes. "It is also an advantage for Vingegaard that there is a lot of time-trialling in next year's Tour. Admittedly, he has only beaten Roglic in time-trials twice. Still, Vingegaard's time-trial performance in this year's race was one of the most ridiculous demonstrations of power I've ever seen."
