Remco Evenepoel has began his preparation for 2025, a week
after he had
surgery on his teeth. Evenepoel had a super year in 2024,
including a world title, two Olympic golds, and a Tour de France podium, and
returned with an easy 60km ride.
The Belgian star is looking to close the gap to Tadej
Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard at the 2025 Tour de France, and fans will be
hoping he can get closer to the top two in the mountains so we can have a three
way fight for the yellow jersey.

It seems that whilst the surgery has given him a swollen
jaw, it won’t be impacting his training too much. His first ride since the
surgery took him Halle and through Schepdaal, his home, for a ride of over 60km
in less than two hours. “Learning to ride a few teeth lighter,” he joked on Strava.
With his trip to the dentist now out of the way, Evenepoel
can get back to work as he builds towards a big year in 2025 with his team Soudal
– Quick-Step.
