The 2024 season is around the corner and Israel–Premier Tech locked its roster, announcing the riders to fill the spots 29 & 30 with two Israeli riders. Guy Sagiv and Itamar Einhorn are both experienced members of the team, having spent more than five years in the structure.
Sagiv was the first Israeli rider to ride (and complete) a Grand Tour back in 2018. Now his role is mostly the of a mentor to his younger teammates. "The team and I are celebrating our 10th season together which is pretty crazy. It was amazing to experience the team’s journey from the inside, from one of the smaller Continental teams to one of the big WorldTour teams," he said.
Einhorn often takes on the role of a finisher in bunch sprint stages with numerous victories on lower level but also top 10 result from Vuelta a Espana stage 2. "I still want to achieve the tough task of winning a Belgian race, and I hope to have this opportunity, while my sights are also set on the Olympic Games in Paris. I worked hard this year to earn enough points to make that happen and I feel that I deserve to be the rider who represents Israel with honor," Einhorn adds.
This means that another of the "founding" Israeli riders will leave the team as Omer Goldstein, who's been with the team since 2018, will have to look elsewhere, if he wants to continue.
