The under-23 Giro ends in Pinerolo this Sunday with a final circuit that includes a climb of 2.5 kilometers at over 12% and another short explosive wall. After Jarno Widar's withdrawal from the race, the overall classification has become wide open into the last day. Luke Tuckwell leads into the final day but has only a mere 11 seconds over Jakob Omrzel; 27 over Pavel Novak and 52 over Filippo Turconi. There are three more riders within the 2-minute mark - Jorgen Nordhagen, Adrià Pericas and Lorenzo Finn - whom each, individually, have the talent to turn the race on it's head in it's final moments.
In Denmark we also have the first edition of the
Copenhagen Sprint, a one-day race designed for the sprinters which is also the newest edition to the World Tour calendar. There is a star-studded field of fast men at the start including Mads Pedersen and Olav Kooij; and other fast men preparing the Tour such as Dylan Groenewegen and Jordi Meeus.
In Switzerland we will have the queen stage of the
Tour de Suisse, a final mountain time-trial that is only 10 kilometers in length but features a 9-kilometer ascent at 9% - pure climber territory. Kévin Vauquelin enters the day in the yellow jersey towards what could be an historic day for him and the Arkéa team, but he will have the monumental task of defending himself against main favourite João Almeida who is only 33 seconds back.
The Belgian race ends in Brussels this Sunday with a sprint next to the Atomium. The final day of the race sees Filippo Baroncini enter in the lead but with three riders within 10 seconds - Ethan Hayter, Jenno Berckmoes and Filippo Ganna. However it will be hard to get back that difference as we expect a sprint between the likes of Tim Merlier and Jasper Philipsen.
