The 2026 Giro d’Italia classifications will evolve day by day across three weeks of racing between 8 May and 31 May, from the Grande Partenza in Bulgaria all the way to the final stage in Rome. Every summit finish, sprint stage, breakaway, and time trial has the potential to reshape the fight for the Maglia Rosa and the Giro’s other jerseys.
This live classifications hub will be updated after every stage of the Giro d’Italia with the latest General Classification standings, Points Classification, Mountains Classification, and Best Young Rider rankings. As the race develops, this page will track every major movement in the battle for pink, ciclamino, azzurro, and white.
From Jonas Vingegaard’s Maglia Rosa challenge to Jonathan Milan’s fight for ciclamino, this page will follow every major standings change across all four jersey competitions throughout the 2026 Giro d’Italia.

General Classification Standings after Stage 8

Bahrain - Victorious had a busy day to keep control of the overall classification and not gain new rivals who can potentially take the pink jersey away from Afonso Eulálio. The Portuguese himself counter-attacked Giulio Ciccone's attempts to join the breakaway, and even attacked the final climb to Fermo.
He lost 2 seconds to Jonas Vingegaard in that final sprint, nothing that will make a meaningful difference however. The breakaway benefited a few riders, most notably Christian Scaroni who moved back into fourth position, 1:03 minutes down on Jonas Vingegaard. If it wasn't for Bahrain's work, the Italian could've moved into the race lead with today's move. Markel Beloki notably also climbed from 18th to 11th in the GC. Tomorrow's stage should create further differences.
Giulio Ciccone purposefully lost time so as to chase breakaways, dropping out of the Top10 after he wasn't given freedom until today to be in the front.

Points Classification Standings after Stage 8

Paul Magnier did spend time countering Jonathan Milan's early attacks this time around, but neither made it onto the day's breakaway. Both remain with the same points, but Jhonatan Narváez has now moved up to second place. The Ecuadorian has now won two stages and, alongside intermediate sprint points, is now the rider behind Paul Magnier in the standings.

King of the Mountains Standings after Stage 8

Jonas Vingegaard maintained his lead in the KOM classification. Whilst not overly crucial, the Dane risks going into the time trial without his own skinsuit which can cost him seconds in a 42-kilometer long flat effort. Tomorrow there aren't many points to be distributed, although Diego Pablo Sevilla only needs to take 2 to go through the Dane temporarily.

Youth Classification Standings after Stage 8

There haven't been meaningful changes in the youth standings, but it can't be neglected that two GC outsiders have gained some time from today's breakaway. Afonso Eulálio's lead remains untouchable, but the rest of the contenders remain rather close to each other. Markel Beloki and Jan Christen both gained two positions this afternoon. Eulálio's gap over Giulio Pellizzari is still of 4:28 minutes.

Teams Classification Standings after Stage 8

Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe remains in the lead, but increased it by almost one minute on Team Visma - Lease a Bike, much due to the Dutch team's lack of focus in the classification, as Sepp Kuss lost a minute to the GC group at the finish. Movistar and Astana have both won about 2 minutes today and come closer to the lead due to their breakaway efforts.
